In the fridge: wasabi mayo (wasabi salvaged from sushi takeout), roasted orange-jalapeno sauce leftover from pulled pork, peanut sauce, tamarind dressing
Sunday - ramen, roasted pork belly
Actual: delicious. I think this was the Glebe Kitchen version (https://glebekitchen.com/momofuku-pork-belly/) of the pork belly. Standard chicken soup stock. A quick fry of chopped shallot, garlic and a quarter of a jalapeno. Tare was doenjang, mirin, soy. Sunnyside egg on top.
Monday - zucchini and corn salmon cakes, wasabi mayonnaise
Actual: wasabi mayonnaise was a bit too hot, so stretched it with more mayo and lime juice
Tuesday - chicken in orange-jalapeno sauce, picked red onion, pico de galo, corn tortillas
Actual: fried eggs, tomato jam, labneh, buttered toast. Tomato jam with eggs is quite yummy
Wednesday - out
Thursday - okonomiyaki, tamarind dressing roast sweet potato home fries with salsa, bacon and egg on top
Actual: worked out very well with lightly fried egg and a bit of grated cheese, top marks for homemade salsa with shallots. thin cut maple flavoured bacon, worked out, but it would probably be nicer with the thicker cut.
Friday - out
Making - tomato jam (https://thesuburbansoapbox.com/easy-tomato-jam/ with cumin, no cloves)
eta: pork belly finished during lunch. one BLT, and one serving of vermicelli noodles, green beans, pickled red onions, peanut sauce
